Michelle started ballroom dancing in 1995 as a way to get herself out of the house. It was not very long before she started noticing positive changes in herself.
Michelle owned and operated and was head instructor at Ballroom Class Dance Studio in Guelph from 2011 until August 2021. As dance has evolved over the past decade so has Michelle.
Michelle now teaches all of these popular social dances ( west coast swing, hustle, bachata, salsa, argentine tango, merengue) alongside her international ballroom dances.
Over the years Michelle has also taught and choreographed many 1st dances for the Bride and Groom to be. Michelle has retired from Studio ownership but continues to pass on her knowledge and love of dance part time proving again and again that if you have 2 left feet she is sure to find your right!
I’ve been dancing as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of me dancing in my living room and listening to music from my ipod. I didn’t actually start dancing at a studio until I was 10, which is a lot later than most. However, I’m a quick learner and was quickly invited to join the competitive team.

Then the pandemic happened and I was no longer able to compete; so, I went back to dancing in my living room. I've always loved working with kids and when I was asked to work at WPDC I was super excited. It combined two of my favourite things, working with kids and dancing. I love being able to help kids learn the art of dance.

If I could say one thing to an athlete I would tell them that the most important part about classes here is that they enjoy themselves and have fun. The memories they make in this studio will stay with them forever whether it be with their friends or coaches.

I began teaching at West Perth Dance Club when it opened in 2019. I loved being able to give children a chance to learn and love dance as much as I do. I took a short break from teaching as I began my studies at university but am glad to be back at both Mitchell and Exeter locations for some classes and camps!
I encourage everyone to find what they love to do and stick to it, you’ll be glad you did!

My favourite style of dance is musical theatre. Seeing the students enjoy dance, being creative, and having fun makes me very happy. I love to help students build their confidence and improve their skills. Dance to express not to impress!
I started dancing as a toddler and danced up until the pandemic and enjoyed every minute of it. I danced with West Perth Dance Club for years.
I love working with kids when I fill in for dance classes or supervise special events. I enjoy watching kids learn new things, whether it be in dance or art class. I love seeing their smiles every time they step foot into the studio!
Hello, I’m Keirsten Ryan and have been dancing for 2 years. I dance at the academy in Clinton in ballet and lyrical. I like these styles because they allow me to express myself.
Allowing young girls to express themselves through dance has been one of the best feelings about teaching. For young girls I teach I want them to know they can do anything.
